Our Pastor

Joseph Foxworth was born in Sellers, South Carolina. He was the only child born to Jonas and Betty Franklin Foxworth who are both deceased. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing service in the U. S. Army, Joseph moved to Philadelphia to attend Temple University. While there, he met and married Catherine Stanley. Our Church

In the month of June 1960, a small group met as a mission in the home of Sis. Juanita Davis on Clay Street to worship and to study the word of God. The first services were held in the Women's Civic League building located at 2917 Clay Avenue. After Rev. Marvin C. Hines preached his trial sermon there, he was asked to be the Pastor. Rev. Hines was licensed, and ordained by the late Rev. C. Johnson, former pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The installation services were held the 1st and 2nd Sunday in More....
